When converting a glass/polycarbonate conservatory roof to a solid system you will require building control sign off. The LEKA system is JHAI approved. In your search for a new roof you will probably comes across systems that are LABC (Local Authority and Building Control) approved. Be aware that if you are changing from a poly/glass roof to an LABC tiled system, you WILL STILL REQUIRE BUILDING CONTROL APPROVAL & CERTIFICATION.
1. Firstly, GRP rafters are fitted. GRP is not prone to woodworm or moisture absorbtion (like traditional timber), condensation or thermal bridging like aluminium alternatives.
2. LEKA sheets are fitted internally. The sheets are 100% waterproof, just third of the weight of plasterboard and have unique thermal qualities.
3. Insulated Celotex sheets are fitted
4. Lightweight, load bearing outer sheets are fitted. These outer sheets are completely waterproof and thermally efficient.
